Casula Powerhouse has heaps of creative workshops

Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre (CPAC) has announced its latest workshops on offer for Term 2 as part of the Public Programs and Education (PPE) schedule, activities include stunning visual arts, colourful clay-crafting and art history.

The newly launched workshops are also included in Creative Kids – the NSW Government rebate offering $100 vouchers for creative classes for children aged 4.5 – 18 years old. Tickets are on sale now on PPE’s new dedicated website: www.casulapowerhouseactivities.com

“You name it, and we’ve got an awesome workshop here that’s sure to give little artists and young creatives plenty to learn, in a fun and educational environment that’s perfect for nurturing their skills,” said CPAC Director, Craig Donarski.

“We’re also thrilled to be involved in the awesome Creative Kids program, providing great opportunities to stoke that creative spark. With such a wide range of programs on offer, the only question left now is what to use your voucher on!” he said.

Creative Kids is one of over 40 rebates and savings available to ease the cost of living pressure on households. The $100 vouchers are an opportunity for kids aged 4.5 to 18 years old to discover their passions, and are valid for music, dance and drama lessons, language classes or visual arts, coding and design.

Art School After School
Harness an exciting range of mediums to create fresh new artworks, in a lively and engaging environment. Facilitated by a trained visual art educator, this program is perfect for little artists.

Clay School After School
Introduce your child to the dizzying possibilities of clay and ceramics. Students will explore the versatility of clay, learning skills pulled from ancient traditions and modern techniques. No experience needed!

AM Art Makers Club
Kids will tackle the art world’s fascinating opposites: small vs large, traditional vs contemporary, giving their weekend a creative kick-start.

Open Ceramic Studio
Suitable for both beginners and more advanced students, the Open Studio is a delightful dive into the world of ceramics focusing on basic skills like pinching and slab rolling, to higher level techniques like glazing and wheel throwing.

Drawing on an Open Mind
Encouraging new ways of looking at the world, this workshop will draw from modern and contemporary artists to develop a greater understanding of our surroundings.
