Having students engage with real world problems with Project Based Learning is one of the better ways of delivering knowledge and encouraging soft skills like communication and cooperation.
The approach is suited to most parts of the curriculum and has been encouraged by leading thinkers like John Hattie. Delivering it to students can take many forms and some help in formulating a PBL initiative has to be welcome.

PBL Sydney by iOTF Events is a PBL Works Three Day Institute to be held at the Parramatta Park Royal Hotel 6–8 October. PBL Works Institutes are hosted all over North America and internationally. The event will provide a range of three day intensive courses for the PBL novice teacher, through to expert and whole school leadership of PBL.

Places are limited to approximately 150 participants. Participants will undertake their three day course in small groups of around 30 with PBL Works National Faculty, all flown out to Australia for this event. PBL Works has a National Faculty of around 90 outstanding PBL educators across the US.
Price
$1500 ex GST per person. Those travelling from Rural South or Rural North Directorates will receive a 10% discount to assist with travel costs. Schools booking in 10 or more staff will also be granted a 10% discount. These will be the only discounts available.

All participants will earn 18.45 registered hours towards NESA registration requirements.
