With the addition of Jacaranda to the Copyright Agency’s LearningField digital textbook platform, teachers now have access to the resources of 20 of Australia's best educational publishers.
In the past 12 months, seven publishers have joined LearningField and it now offers 1,300 e-textbooks and interactive learning products for Years 7–12 students.
LearningField creates a collaborative personalised learning experience and the dashboard for teachers allows them to quickly gauge student interaction with the materials, which are all curriculum-linked.
The Copyright Agency’s CEO, Adam Suckling, says “Teachers repeatedly tell us that what they like most about LearningField is the enormous number of textbooks available which means they can pick and choose material to suit the differing learning pace and ability of their students. They also tell us it’s easy to use across devices and is portable.”
“Jacaranda is the Australian school division of Wiley, a leading global publishing company. They were awarded Secondary Publisher of the Year for five consecutive years (2012–2016) at the Australian Educational Publishing Awards. We are thrilled to have them on the platform as they share our vision to help students achieve their full potential by offering resources from 20 of the best publishers in the sector,” Mr Suckling says.
Chris Gray, Executive Director of Wiley Australia said; “Teachers in more than 1900 schools across Australia currently use Jacaranda educational resources to help bring life-changing benefits to hundreds of thousands of students. With our partnership with LearningField we will be able to make a difference in the lives of even more students.”
Current LearningField schools subscribed to four or more learning areas in Years 7–10, can automatically access Jacaranda resources from Term 4 this year, while new LearningField schools can trial from Term 4, 2018. Any interactive product from Jacaranda (e.g. learnON) can also be purchased separately. Educators can request further information here.
