More than 90 Year 10 students from 18 schools around the state will compete in the Australian Brain Bee National Challenge (ABBC) at The University of Western Australia on Monday 24 July.
The ABBC is a competition for Year 10 students to learn about the brain and its functions, learn about neuroscience research, find out about careers in neuroscience and to dispel misconceptions about neurological and mental illnesses.
The competition includes a brain-teasing team challenge and neuroscience quiz to test their knowledge of the brain and how it works.
The winner of the WA competition will go on to compete against winners from the other Australian states and territories at the national final to be held in Sydney in December.
The event will be held in the Woolnough lecture theatre - UWA Geology and Geography Building on Monday 24 July 2017 with finals of awards starting at 2.00pm.
